Day 1
Delhi to Shimla
Your driver will collect you from your hotel in Delhi (approx 4am) and taken to the train station in North Delhi. Here you will catch the train Kalka, leaving Delhi at 05:35 and arrive in Kalka at 11:10. Catch another train from Kalka to Shimla at 12:10 and arrives in Shimla at 17:30.
The Kalka–Shimla Railway is a 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) narrow gauge railway in North India travelling along a mostly mountainous route from Kalka to Shimla, known as the Toy Train . It is known for dramatic views of the hills and surrounding villages. The Kalka–Shimla Railway was built in 1898 to connect Shimla, the summer capital of India during the British Raj, with the rest of the Indian rail system. At the time of construction 107 tunnels and 864 bridges, were built throughout the course of the track. Overnight Shimla.

Day 2
Shimla
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Shimla. Visit Kufri, Ridge Maidan, Mall Road and Christ Church.
Shimla is one of the most popular hill station of India. The town is situated at an altitude of 6810 ft, initially chosen as a sanatorium for invalid European officers, but soon developed into a big hill town and became the summer capital of the country.

Day 3
Day Hike in Shimla. Narkanda – Hatu Peak
Leave after breakfast. The driver will drop you at Narkanda and start the hike for 3 hours with your guide. You will then be picked them up on the top. The hike will be uphill through the forest to the top where you will have expansive views of Shimla Valley. Overnight Shimla
Day 4
McLeodGanj
Leave Shimla by car for your journey to McLeod Ganj (approximately 5 hours), arrive mid afternoon and check into your hotel. Overnight McLeod Ganj
Day 5
McLeodGanj
Spend the day relaxing around McLeod Ganj and visit the Temple of His Holiness The Dalai Lama and Namgyal Monastery, Tibet Museum and the Tibetan Houses of Parliament. Overnight McLeod Ganj
Day 6
McLeodGanj
After breakfast visit Naddi Village (a beautiful village with magnificent views of the Himalayas), then the Tibetan Children’s Village which is a thriving, educational community for Tibetan children in exile. Lunch at Norblingka Institute and afternoon visit of the centre which preserves work of the Tibetan artisans. Overnight McLeod Ganj
Day 7
Andretta
Travel after breakfast to Bir (a Tibetan Settlement) stopping off at the ancient temple at Bajnath. Spend the day around Bir and at the various monasteries. Spend the afternoon watching the paragliders landing in the local fields and take a leisurely stroll into the town through the tea plantations. Overnight Homestay Andretta
Day 8
Amritsar
Leave your homestay early for the drive through the plains of the Punjab to Amritsar. Arrive in time to visit to the Wagah border to witness the closing ceremony of the border between India and Pakistan (leave approximately 3pm). Return to visit the Golden Temple at evening (Option).

Day 9
Delhi
Early morning visit to the Golden Temple to enjoy the quiet of the temple at that time. Board your early afternoon flight for Delhi. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight Delhi.
