The Dharamsala International Film Festival (DIFF) is an independent film festival  in one of the world’s most spectacular geographies, the mighty Indian Himalayas. DIFF showcases a diverse selection of features, documentaries, shorts, and animation films bringing together the best in contemporary independent cinema from around the world. Hosted in the town of Mcleod Ganj, the diversity of the international film festival reflects the diversity of this stunning hamlet. Home to the Tibetan Government in Exile and the Dalai Lama, Mcleod Ganj is home to the world, reflected in its residents, culinary options, and cultural showcases. Spend your days watching films, and your meals at one of Mcleod Ganj’s many lovely cafes.  At night, watch the sun drop below the  5,000 m peak as you warm yourself with a mug of hot tea.

Day 1

31 October 2018

Arrive at the Delhi International Airport. Welcome to India! Transfer to your hotel and rest for the duration of the day. Overnight New Delhi
Day 2

1 November 2018

After breakfast at the hotel, join a private, customizable sightseeing tour around Delhi. Explore iconic historical and political landmarks such as India gate, Emperor Humayun’s tomb, Lakshmi Narayan Hindu Temple, and the Jama Masjid. Browse the shopping and entertainment hub of Connaught Place to experience buzz of India’s capital city. Overnight New Delhi
Day 3

2 November 2018

After breakfast transfer to the Delhi Domestic Airport for your flight to Dharamsala. Arrive in Dharamsala early afternoon and check into your hotel. Take a walk through McLeod Ganj to acclimatize to the sights, sounds, and culture of this fascinating hill station. Tonight, welcome dinner and at a local restaurant to kick off our time in Dharamsala. Overnight McLeod Ganj
Day 4

3 November 2018

After breakfast, we’ll visit the Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV). Started in 1954, TCV School is a thriving, educational community for Tibetan Children in Exile. . In the afternoon we visit a local NGO that provides free education to matured Tibetan refugees in the area. Tonight, we kick off the Dharamsala International Film Festival under the stars with the official opening party. Overnight: Mcleod Ganj.

4-6 November 2018

Attend films and workshops of your choosing throughout the day and evenings. Take quiet breaks to observe the mountain serenity or chat with friends at one of Mcleod Ganj’s lovely cafes. Take a walk to the surrounding villages nestled in the mountains. Browse the shops selling products that range from hand embroidered Kashmiri shawls, to Tibetan singing bowls.

Day 8

7 November 2018

Our final day in Mcleod Ganj, finish up any last minute shopping, return to your preferred cafe for a final meal, rest at your leisure as you reflect on your week’s journey.
Day 9

8 November 2018

We fly back to Delhi from Dharamsala, transferring at the airport for International flights or your onward journey in India. Once arriving in Delhi, your arrangement ends with us.
