There is a steep descent to the Kimrong Khola or river in Nepali followed by a steep ascent to Chere Danda.   From here it descends for a while and takes a gentle path to Chhomrong. This is a beautiful village located on the lap of the giant Annapurna in the background. Overnight Chomrong

The first half the trail today passes through a bamboo forest (usually quite damp and cold)  then ascends steadily with a few steep sections.  After reaching Himalaya Hotel the forest opens up to reveal astounding views of the glacial river flowing below.  The trail becomes a steeper climb up through a drier forest before arriving at Hinku Cave. From here we can see the trail drop closer to the river before climbing again to Deurali, the most scenic stretch today.  Gaining higher elevation the vegetation thins out allowing scenic views of the valley, river below and rocky cliffs with bands of thread like mini waterfalls. Overnight in Deurali.
